Casey Damron, DVM, CVA

Dr. Casey Damron is the owner of White Oak Animal Hospital, a full service animal hospital and clinic located in Fairview, Tennessee. Dr. Damron has been in full-time veterinary practice for over 10 years.
Trained in both Western and Eastern Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Damron's primary focus is on treating small animals. Through their training and experience, Dr. Damron and his staff are able to provide the full range of veterinary services to their client's pets.
Dr. Damron studied and received his Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1998. He also obtained additional training from 2006-2009 in The Principles of Eastern Medicine at The Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida. At Chi, Dr. Damron studied under Eastern veterinary medicine expert Dr. Huisheng Xie. His studies include Chinese Acupuncture, Herbology, Food Therapy, and Tui Na.
Dr. Damron's primary focus is on treating small animals. Through his years of experience in the profession, the effects of nutrition have increasingly become a contributing factor in the way he practices veterinary medicine.
His experience, training and research led Dr. Damron and his longtime friend and colleague Dr. Marc Smith to develop a product that offered pets a better way to health. Their work and collaboration resulted in Pet-Tao Pet Foods, providing pets a way to better health through proper diet and nutrition.
Marc Smith, DVM, CVA, CVTP

Dr. Marc Smith has been a practicing veterinarian for over 10 years in middle Tennessee. He is the founder of Natchez Trace Veterinary Services (NTVS) in Franklin, Tennessee, a full service equine and animal hospital which offers the full range of veterinary services for both large and small animals. Dr. Smith practices both Western and Eastern veterinary medicine.
Dr. Smith incorporates Eastern veterinary services into his practice in order to better serve his clients. His services include acupuncture, herbal therapy and food therapy, a major component of the Pet-Tao Pet Foods.
Dr. Smith studied and received his DVM degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Since 2006, he has studied Eastern veterinary medicine at the renowned Chi Institute in Florida.
Dr. Smith is dedicated to the Veterinary profession and to the health and welfare of pets. He speaks at many local animal-related events, including schools, camps, dog club meetings and dog parks. He also lectures at local 4-H clubs about all types of animal concerns and issues. He hosts the Veterinary service AskaVet on Twitter, answering the public's questions and concerns about their pets.
Hundreds of people entrust their dogs, cats and horses to Dr. Smith. For example, the Metro Nashville Police Department has depended on Dr. Smith for the care of the horses from the Mounted Patrol Unit.
Some of Marc's favorite hobbies include fishing, participating in triathlons and coaching his girls' sports teams. He and his wife Cherie have two daughters, Anna and Lilly.
