Raw, Pasteurized, and Canned

We offer all of our canine diets in a frozen Raw, frozen Pasteurized, and Canned Form.  We offer different forms based on the theories of Eastern Food Therapy. According to Eastern Food Therapy principles, there are advantages and disadvantages to each form depending on the individual animal.

For instance, the Pasteurized (heating foods to 160°F) form is ideal for older pets. Pasteurization initiates the digestive process allowing the older animal to conserve energy. This conserved energy is then available to promote other necessary physiologic functions such as immune system support and efficient neurologic function. Additionally, pasteurization kills food-borne pathogens limiting the exposure of both pets and people.

The Raw form, on the other hand, is more suited to the young animal. Raw food is cooling from an energetic perspective. This inherent cooling energy of raw food subsequently countbalances the excessive heat, vibrancy, and hyperactivity which is so common in younger animals. This is a core principle of Eastern Food Therapy and the Eastern theory of balance.

The Canned form is ideal for cost conscious owners or owners with little freezer space who still want to feed according to Eastern Food Therapy principles.
